Our studio holds regular classes during the normal school terms, scheduled according to the current studio timetable. As such, there are no regular classes held during the school holidays.
Classes that fall on Public Holidays and student free days will run as per normal.
At Creative Arts Dance Studios we offer classes for all ages, from kinder through to adults, catering for all your dance and performing arts needs.
We can tailor a program especially to suit you with our discounted rates and packages. We always aim to keep the costs affordable for families and offer a range of payment options.
All classes (Except for Mini Dancers) are open for the participating students only. This is to ensure that our students can get the most out of their tuition.
Dress requirements are outlined for each class. Grooming is important to a dancer and to assist the teacher in making corrections to posture and technique. No school uniforms or denim please.
Feel free to contact us if you need assistance with your class selection!

CLASS AGE GROUPS
The age of your child on 1st January of each year determines which class age group they will fit into.
E.g. If you child is 6 on 1st January but turning 7 that year they still fit into the Petite Dancers classes.
Our class age groups are at follows:
Mummy & Daddy & Me (18mths - 4yrs old)
Mini Dancers (2 - 4yrs old)
Petite Dancers (4 - 6yrs old)
Junior Dancers (6 - 9yrs old)
Intermediate Dancers (9 - 12yrs old)
Pre-senior Dancers (12 - 14yrs old)
Senior Dancers (14 - 16yrs old)
Open Dancers (16yrs +)
Adult Dancers (16yrs +)
Whilst majority of students will fit into their allocated aged classes, there may be cases where a child will be placed below or above their allocated age class. This decision is made by CADS staff when we believe it would better benefit the child's learning and development. CADS asks that you trust in our judgement when suggesting classes for your child to enrol in and that we always have their best interests in mind. After all, what benefit is there to pushing a child beyond their capabilities or holding them back from taking the next step? If you are unsure of what group your child would fit into please give us a call or email to discuss.
PROGRAMS AND PERFORMANCES
In addition to our regular classes and age related programs, we also offer a number of opportunities throughout the year for students to perform and extend themselves. These include studio musicals, local, state and national competitions, choreography competitions, and various workshops.
PERFORMANCE & EXTENSION CLASSES
An extra program we run at CADS is our Performance Team and Extension Class. This class is by invite only and requires a high level of commitment from both parents and students throughout the year. If you are interested in being considered for these teams please email the office. These teams will be selected and set in Term 1.
The annual concert is held at the end of the year. All students are encouraged to participate and showcase what they have learned throughout the year. Each class will usually perform one dance, with a costume to be purchased or hired for each.
We highly recommend exams for children as it gives them something to work towards and achieve. Students will receive a report and a medal or trophy depending on the examination. There is a high level of commitment, dedication & attendance requirements for students wishing to participate in exams. Participation in holiday classes is also expected. Graded Jazz, Tap & Ballet C.S.T.D. exams are usually held in July/August.
